“Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crops fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!” Habakkuk 3:17-18
This is a great statement of faith! Habakkuk knew the situation in Israel was not great, and was about to get even worse, he could praise God. God was his security even though he couldn’t see any blessings around him.
There are times in our lives when we certainly don’t feel the blessings of the Lord. We don’t experience joys of plenty, the joys of fruitfulness. We can ask where God is, and wonder what He is doing. It is at these times we can abandon our faith in the Lord.
Yet God calls us to stay close to him, to draw strength from God even though there seems to be no fruitfulness or blessing around us. At present these are hard times for many of us. We need to stay close to the Lord during these times and to know God remains the source of our joy.
Have a great week in the Lord.

Welcome to the Warners Bay Baptist Church website. We, the church, are glad you have taken the time to have a look at the web site and would like to invite you along to one of our church services.
We are a Baptist church that has about 70-110 people attend on a Sunday morning. Our congregation has a mixture of young families, middle aged people and older people.
Our services are contemporary in style with a band leading the music portion of our worship service. Within our worship services we also have prayer, Bible readings and someone talking about how the Bible relates to us in our world today. Our services are structured and the people are relaxed and engaged in what is happening.
