FROM THE PASTOR
“So the 12 called a meeting of all the believers. They said, ‘We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program. And so, brothers, select 7 men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility. Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word.” Acts 6:2-4
Have you ever been selected to do something and felt it a real privilege to be part of what God is doing in the lives of others? When you feel privileged to serve in some way it is not a chore, not something that is hard to do.
People in the New Church were excited by this new move of God in their lives and community. Many had experienced a living faith in Jesus. However, as numbers of believers grew so much the Apostles couldn’t keep up caring for them so they appointed deacons to serve the people. They were men of God who loved Jesus and found it a privilege to serve in such a special way.
Being a deacon and leader in the church is a special privilege not to be taken lightly and to serve with a genuine heart of commitment to God and the church.
As we come up to our AFM, and we have to choose our deacons for the following year, pray carefully about who you might elect. If you are approached to be nominated, pray about it knowing that there is a big commitment to serving the church.
Have a great week in the Lord.

Welcome to the Warners Bay Baptist Church website. We, the church, are glad you have taken the time to have a look at the web site and would like to invite you along to one of our church services.
We are a Baptist church that has about 70-110 people attend on a Sunday morning. Our congregation has a mixture of young families, middle aged people and older people.
Our services are contemporary in style with a band leading the music portion of our worship service. Within our worship services we also have prayer, Bible readings and someone talking about how the Bible relates to us in our world today. Our services are structured and the people are relaxed and engaged in what is happening.
You can join our 9.30am service and evening service via Zoom. You can connect to the 9.30am service hereand the evening Zoom service here. Contact the church for the Zoom ID and passcodes. Zoom passcode details are emailed to the congregation.
